Like sapphires and diamonds

Through the night

Cleansing my spirit
Washing through me

Your eyes burn
Like the heart of the flame
Melting away my pain
Through the ice

Your eyes quench my thirst
Like a cool drink of water
Like a swim in the stream
Running through my dreams

Your eyes feed my hunger
Like a delicious feast
To a ravenous beast
Starving for flesh
Needing only one caress
To soothe the savage breast

And when I close my eyes
And as I drift to sleep
I still see your eyes
Into my mind they seep

Staring into my soul
Longing to be whole
Wishing to be complete
Saying the words we dare not speak
